More about our Chinks:
Why do I want chinks? They are typically about a 3/4 length cowboy chap but can be made to almost full length depending upon the preference of the rider. This style of western chink is also a good chap for western pleasure riding or for cowboy work. They are normally secured to the upper leg with the lower section hanging free. It is an "open" design which allows the best circulation of air. The shorter and open design makes cowboy chinks less bulky and allows greater freedom of movement than other chaps. The design is cooler in the summer but still helps to keep you warm in colder weather conditions. It is the most versatile type of western chap that you will find for sale and offers good upper leg protection for both cowboys and trail riders. Chinks are the bestselling and most popular type of chaps. They are perfect for all-around use.
Available leather for western chinks: Some styles may be for sale in specialty colors like “buckskin”, “chocolate”, and others. However, most of our inventory of cowboy chinks for sale is labeled as "earth-tone" colored leathers. They consist of an always changing color variety ranging from light brown to dark brown. The earth-tone leathers will also have different characteristics like oil-tan, non-oil tan, and softer to firmer textures. These leathers are normally in the 4.5 to 6 ounce weight range.
Our pre-made selection of cowboy chinks for sale will change with the rotating supply of “earth-tone” leathers. The western chinks in inventory may not be the exact same color as the chaps shown in the product photos.
