Our deerskin motorcycle gloves are made with a patented anti-fatigue design. This design is also known as "Wedge" gloves due to the distinctive wedge shaped piece of leather in the side of each finger. These deerskin motorcycle gloves have curved fingers for a better smoother gripping surface and limited hand fatigue. For more information, see bottom of page.
More about our deerskin motorcycle gloves:
Our deerskin motorcycle glove design provides a unique way to curve the fingers of the glove and this provides several benefits. The curved fingers of the motorcycle glove provide a much higher comfort level and our particular design also allows the use of thicker, longer lasting leather while providing a better feel and comfort level than other gloves made with the same materials.
Our deerskin motorcycle glove design has a very unique and wild west origin. Shawn Schild developed the design around the year 2000. As a professional bareback rider, he was subject to one of the most rugged man versus beast sports in the world. This event was a little tougher than a motorcycle rodeo! The rider must ride a bucking horse for 8 seconds and hold on with only one hand. The glove used for this rodeo event was a heavy leather cowhide glove.
The glove had to be heavy weight to protect the rider’s hand but the heavy leather caused the problem of being difficult to close and hold in a gripping position. Shawn started making the gloves and experimented with and improved the design over the years until the idea hit him for major improvement. He finally figured out a great way to fix the problem of closing the heavy glove into a gripping position. The idea was patented and our deerskin motorcycle gloves incorporate the same design. This design has provided a vastly improved heavier weight deerskin glove to riding enthusiasts. These gloves are available for sale here in a short cuff motorcycle glove and a long cuff motorcycle glove.
What is the best leather for motorcycle gloves?
Deerskin is by far the best leather we have seen that can be used a motorcycle glove. The tight grain of deerskin provides for awesome durability while also providing a high level of soft comfort. I use a pair of our short cuff motorcycle gloves for weight-lifting and they last and last and last. Deerskin, when compared to other leathers can get wet and with very little use will again regain its softness. Cowhide, goat, sheep, and others will become stiff, hard, and very uncomfortable.
Customer testimonial
Hello, this is my 2nd order from you. These are some of the best motorcycle gloves (if not the best motorcycle gloves I have ever used). After my last order, I put a link on my website (500 members) http://www.arkansasbiker.net and gave my review of these gloves.
